Laser CAD Programming

Good software programs are now essential in the laser cutting sector, there are no two ways about it. Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacture (CAM) are now pretty much the norm across the board, and any company which doesn’t take advantage of the wonderful state-of-the-art software out there is putting themselves at a great disadvantage. We’ve made sure we’re definitely not one of these companies, and have accordingly invested a lot of money in the best programming out there (not to mention a great deal of time in identifying them too).

The computer programs we use here at Subcon Laser are absolutely crucial to our day-to-day goings-on, as without them we wouldn’t be able to process as much work as we now do. Computer-aided design and manufacture ensures a greater level of accuracy – this is one of the best-known advantages to it. There are also a number of other advantages though – chiefly the fact that it allows you to process work at a much quicker pace.

How Subcon Laser uses programming and software to its advantage

Here at Subcon Laser, we aim to consistently deliver the finest laser cutting services out there. To do this, we must always keep a close eye on the innovations within the laser cutting sector, and make sure that we’re never flagging behind. In fact, we like to think of ourselves as thought leaders within our sector, and so we make a point of going out and seeking new technologies, as opposed to hearing about them elsewhere or waiting for them to come to us.

Computer-aided design is something which is now used in a variety of manufacturing industries. This is due to the fact that it not only makes completing work much easier for employees, but it can ensure a much greater level of accuracy in most cases. This most definitely applies to the field of laser cutting – the whole idea behind this type of cutting is of course to provide high quality cuts of various materials which are as exact as they can be.

As you are probably already aware, we cut many different materials here at Subcon Laser – our customer base is huge and is made up of all different types of people from different sectors. Thanks to our cutting-edge (if you’ll excuse the pun) technology – such as our computer software – we’re able to provide consistently accurate cuts on a variety of materials. Every day we come into contact with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, but we also carry out a lot of work on non-metallic materials too – such as plastic, acrylic, wood and MDF.

The materials we process for our customers are used for a number of different purposes. For example, we do a lot of work for the automotive industry, aerospace, shipbuilding, construction and other forms of architecture. This is why CAD is so important – all of these sectors require parts which are cut highly accurately and consistently, and this is why we are so keen to utilise CAD and CAM. Not only does it let us process parts as accurately as they can be, but it lets us take on much more work.

We’ve made sure that we’re exactly aware of how the technology we employ works – we believe that this is the only way we can ensure that it’s used properly and to our advantage. We have an in-depth knowledge of all of our systems which employ CAD and CAM, as this will allow us to manipulate them properly and get the most out of them.

We integrate the latest technologies – such as these marvellous pieces of software – with our own equipment, in an effort to make it the best it can be. We believe that we’re achieving this consistently, and we plan to continue to do so well into the future.

Here at Subcon Laser we like to give our customers a level of insight wherever possible. We think it’s important that our customers have a certain technical understanding when it comes to what the work we do involves; it allows them to see exactly what they’re paying for and why it’s worth the money. Providing value for money is something we’re extremely insistent upon, as it’s one of the crucial aspects of delivering great service.

The common file formats we can read:
