After our success at Made in the Midlands last month, we are really looking forward to going to the Subcon Show this week! The show starts on June 6th at the NEC from 9:30am and finishes at 4pm on Thursday. We will be exhibiting on stand A30, Hall 3.

We look forward to this show each year because it is a great opportunity to build new business relationships with companies who may not have realised the extent to which laser cutting could optimise their own manufacturing processes. Every year, we meet people who want to produce parts and products faster, cheaper and more efficiently – just what we can offer!

The Subcon show brings together lots of different suppliers and industry leaders, each with their own niche in the manufacturing supply chain. This is great for Subcon Laser as we cater for a wide variety of different sectors from Automotive to Shopfitting.

Over the years we have been privileged to provide our laser cutting services to some really exciting clients. One of our favourite projects was providing all the laser cut mild steel letters for the Rust Garden. This project was unique in all sorts of ways. The letters were deliberately not treated, as mild steel usually is, so that over time the letters will gradually rust away. In the meantime, anyone visiting the garden may play with the letters as they please, spelling words, playing scrabble, even taking them home.

While projects like this may only come up occasionally, they show how laser cutting can be used creatively. The fine tolerance of the laser and the speed of the cut makes this method incredibly efficient when creating uniform shapes – even when those shapes are small and intricately detailed like our tiny bikes!

So, whatever your project is, however big or small, come and chat to us at the NEC this week (A30, Hall 3) and see what we can do for you!
