Efficiency is one of the greatest benefits when utilising laser technology for cutting tube. Laser cutting is not only time-efficient and precise, but with Subcon Laser’s in-house technology, we’re able to incorporate multiple operations into one CNC machine for improved productivity and the elimination of deburring operations.
Whether you’re looking to cut complex shapes or bespoke shaped tube, our team has the experience and expertise required to help. From design stages to laser cutting, secondary operations, and any finishing requirements, Subcon Laser offers a comprehensive production service.
Our Capabilities
We handle the cutting of all tube shapes, including round, square, oval, rectangular and more. With 5-axis machinery, we have the capability to process round tubes up to 254mm in diameter. Additionally, square, rectangular tubes, as well as angles, flats, and channels, can be processed to a maximum length of 8 meters.
We further work to tight tolerances across all material, as enabled by our integration of CAM into our processes.
The laser cutting of tube is a preferrable manufacturing method for simple and complex operations alike; as a non-contact cutting method, quality is maintained whilst high volume parts can be produced in a fast turnaround.
Quality assurance at Subcon Laser is supported by our 3D Scanning and inspection services. We utilise 3D scanning equipment to inspect part dimensions, ensuring they meet specification and unique application requirements.
Materials We Work With
Subcon Laser is experienced in working with a wide range of metallic materials for laser cutting tube, including mild steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel and more.
Our expertise across materials enables us to handle a number of projects and unique tube requirements, with additional finishing options available to meet technical specifications or aesthetic designs.

Tube Laser Cutting: FAQs
Tube laser cutting is a process that uses a laser (a very focused beam of light) to cut or shape metal tubes. Think of it as a high-tech, super-accurate way to cut through metal pipes or tubes, similar to how a knife cuts through butter—except with much more precision and control.
Box Section Laser Cutting: FAQs
Box section laser cutting is a process where a laser is used to cut flat sheets of metal or other materials into specific shapes, which are often then folded to form boxes or other structures. It’s similar to tube laser cutting but focuses on flat, square or rectangular pieces, like cutting a flat cardboard sheet to make a box, only with metal.
