Subcon Laser provides the following secondary operations to underpin our laser cutting projects.
Forming
We undertake forming of sheet metal on press brakes, creating your desired shape with precision bends.
Our initial CAD processing means we adhere to designs with exacting accuracy and repeatability across batches.
Drilling and Tapping
Subcon Laser’s drilling and tapping services are used to create both smooth and threaded holes in workpieces through means of drilling, tapping and threading. Tapping range of M2 to M27 Threads available on request.
For applications requiring fasteners and additional assembly solutions, our drilling service places highly accurate holes within your laser cut components.
Countersinking
Subcon Laser offers countersinking services, allowing fasteners to sit flush within the workpiece, resulting in an integrated finish.
Our precision service ensures countersunk holes are produced to the exact angled contours of fasteners.
CNC Machining
Our CNC machining services include vertical milling and turning operations, utilising quality custom tooling for production to unique requirements.
Computer Numerical Controlled machinery allows us to follow CAD designs for complete adherence to specification.
Welding
Subcon Laser provides a range of welding services, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), projection welding, and small fabrication welding.
Our welding department ensures components are expertly joined for performance in their application.
Laser Bevel Cutting
We can further carry out bevelling operations, also known as weld preps, performed on Trumpf machinery with EdgeLine. Trumpf EdgeLine enables us to laser cut bevels, chamfers, indentations, and rounded edges on parts.
Vibro-Deburring
Our vibro-deburring service ensures component edges are smooth and free from imperfections such as burrs, sharp edges, and fins.
On request, we can achieve a quality finish for all sized parts with our deburring services.
