We use lasers every day to manufacture products for all sorts of industries from construction to petrochemical to automotive. Laser cutting has revolutionised the manufacturing industry making it faster, cheaper and more accurate than ever.
When the laser was first theorised, no one could think of a good use for it which, looking back on it now seems crazy. But, there were a few scientists who saw the potential in lasers and continued to experiment with their ideas.
Finally they produced a real laser proving the theory and laying the groundwork for all the uses we have for laser now.
